You could literally spend all day debunking "Original WWII" patches and insignia in eBay. -

Sorry for the late arrival. But I picked this about 1.5 years ago. A print and small fragment of one of the Doolittle planes, specifically the plane named "Whiskey Pete". Relic is about 1" x .5". I think a few relic pieces were dug up in China circa 1996 and some were cut up into fragments. Neat piece of history. -

yah,1/4 in. nets were the most common as far as I know for the 82nd, even in normandy through the bulge. I think the only airborne guys to get shrimp net's in a large quantity were the 17th in varsity. I'm sure theres exceptions, but for garden and bulge it 1/4. my profile pic even shows 82nd with 1/4! good luck! -

This is the first PH I've picked up since I purchased the book "Sacrifice Remembered" which shows many, many engraving styles. I can't find this exact style and wonder if it's some sort of stamping. I assume it is privately done. James Dunham was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and buried in Cincinnati, Ohio, about 20 miles from where I found the PH in Ross, Ohio for not much money. His grave marker reflects that he received a PH. Thanks for your opinion on the PH. -

Re-reading this thread again, I see a few tops similar to this one— I did get a shot of the stamp which does look like a few others on this thread: -

I'll make sure to steer clear of the shrimp nets for now (until I make an impression that would have actually used them) Thanks everyone! Wade -

Ok ERDL experts— need some help on this one— US Navy direct embroidered ARVN cut ERDL top— kind of looks like an RDF or Thai pattern ERDL, but would love your opinions. Has a very faint stamp, but not in the ARVN style that I’ve seen on others. Let me know what you think!
