The city next to mine is having their semiannual garbage cleanup this week. Residents can put just about anything on the curbside and the city will haul it away. I don’t live in that city, but my house is literally on the border between the two. So out on my walks I pass by tons of toss always. While I dream of finding a D-bale paratrooper helmet or a US Civil War Staff and field officer sword laying on top of the pile, the only things I’ve ever seen worth grabbing were an occasional nice flower pot. But there are tons of folks driving around salvaging things. It’s interesting entertainment to watch them in action. -
