Thanks again, eastman leather sells a good m422a, however I am unable to afford one of those,  as a corsair pulot they were usually low so it may not be completely required maybe I'll get everything then come back and get it later.

Sorry to hear my good friend has passed. I had known him and communicated with him for years and the FOOTLOCKER Publication was the best.

Coast Guard Combat Photographer Pat McKnite, of Superior, Wisc., is shown filming fierce action on Iwo Jima where he went ashore from a Coast Guard-manned invasion vessel. As he records the bloodiest battle of the Pacific war on film, Japanese guns concealed in inland caves shell the beach.

Tinley, Thank you for your work on the Faciat Georgius medal. I have learned a lot from you - and there is Not a lot of info out there on this one, as you well know!   I believe now as well that there are two types, the first type is smaller than the second 'strike,' and also that Marines who had 'been there' somehow purchased examples these through the decades. Also, that there have been many fakes.    I hope your research is progressing - there are some like who truly appreciate you attempts.   John

I have no financial interest or favor for giving you a name, but I've used Geoff,  owner of Golden Arrow Research on a few occasions, most recently about 7 years ago to get my ancestor's  naval OPF 1912-21 from NARA in St. Louis,  coincidentally whose M1872 sword and engraved pocket watch I own, similar to your situation.   Congrats on having a tremendous, historic,  family heirloom group.  For the same price as NARA (at least it was 5 years ago),  from Golden Arrow you'll get high resolution color scans of the COMPLETE file, every page in it, rather than crumby Xerox copies where you very likely won't get every page copied, particularly if it requires unfolding or copying a back, since the concept of customer service at NARA is spotty at best.    Geoff also gives a discount to USMF members.  Good luck     https://www.goldenarrowresearch.com/

Front and Back of this one. Not sure why it didn't post the front picture.
