I just came across this badge being sold within a group of medals online. It is for the Sons of American Veterans. I couldn't find much information about the group with some simple google searches. Is this group related to AM-VETS? I don't know. The badge is uniface and had no maker's mark on the reverse. The design bears likeness to other medals I have seen issued by states to commemorate WWI. However, those are usually in the form of an eight pointed star. This is more like a four armed cross with rays eminated sideways from the arms, rather than radially from the center. Does anyone know anything more about this badge, or group? -

Depends on what you define as good and bad. The command service pilot is definitely bad as that was not a real rating to my knowledge. Vanguard wings are post WWII. wings with alpha-numeric makers codes are post WWII. Meyer wings with long nailhead pins are probably post WWII. The Observers in post 8 look like souvenir junk. Marty -

Our whole Kaserne, (Anderson Barracks) was a former Wermacht facility. Refurbished barracks and I suppose additional buildings. Still in existence from what I gather, but abandoned for years. -

. Hi Ron, Many thanks, sadly it took me about fifteen attempts to get the video to fire up, but it was well worth it and well presented. Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, April 24 2O25. …. -

Each knife you get into or plan to purchase, you have to become a part time temporary expert just to make an informed purchase. Bought the 2 L77's last week. That was also a fast learning curve. Have $1000 in Randal books. And something like a bomb stamp on a Case M3 gets me into a temp tailspin. HA HA I read a large batch showed up in the 80's and 90's. Did not know they were put together from spare parts? Thought they were just old inventory? That received the later scabbards. -

Does anyone have mechanical drawings on the Pavesi & Tolotti Type B Italian tractor, or know where to locate them online? Any operator's manuals would be helpful too. -

Seen with and with out over the years. Not sure if left off or just the plate put on upside down when refurbished? Back in th elate 80s and early 90s a dealer had ammo crates full of M3 knives at the Minnesota and Wisconsin military shows. All were form a govt surplus auction and said tio have come off a Marine base in North or South Carolina. Many were in later M8a1 scabbards of Vietnam Vintage. There was a mix of blade marked, and blade dated and also guard marked. Some had been refinished and some were not. There were also older M8a1 and M8 scabbards. All had the belt hooks. I recently obtained an M3 thats not marked at all but by the brown spacers Im thinking it's an Imperial and either built from parts at wars end or for resale post war. Its not a modern remake. You will also find the post war surplus sold ones with the markings ground off the guard and the Ord ball removed also. -
