Not sure what to call these M3's? Did see 2 go off on ebay last week. One Utica, one Imperial. Stamped guard, same sheath. New cond. Seller said he bought a few in the 90's. Am guessing surplus knives, they put in the newer available scabbards. No history, but nice getting a mint knife. Getting the post count up to 30. -

Four years after the armored cruiser USS Maine was destroyed by an explosion in Havana Harbor, the Navy commissioned the battleship Maine (BB-10). The historic photo of the Maine's integrated baseball team is a reminder of the tremendous loss suffered that February day in 1898. This photo was taken aboard BB-10 in the spring/summer following the ship's commissioning as the ship continued the Navy's competitive baseball tradition. -

My Dad was in Manila just after the end of the war. He filmed the destruction there with a spring- wound Kodak 8mm movie camera and used Kodachrome film. The resolution and lighting is not too good but there are not many color films of Manila and Corregidore existing. Note the warning sign on Corregidore. Manila -Albaugh 1945.mp4 -

Received this cloth patch Flying Tiger with some other military items including book about CBI Ledo road construction. Is it a fantasy/collectors piece? Thank you. -

Id say that pin is newer. The waffleback is something you don't see on WWII insignia of any kind. My instincts say its from the 70s or 80s. Ive never seen another like it. What does the hallmark say? I cant read it. Kurt
