I can't tell you for what organization they were used, but they are neither epaulettes or shoulder boards. At least for the Army, they're called shoulder marks. -

MCM- You have a legitimate WW2 CASE guard marked M3 with a late M8A1 scabbard. It was probably a repackaged set. Have seen a few over the years. SKIP -

Came across this, it may help answer a couple of your questions. It is the only similar brass gripped bayonet with similar cross guard and nothing on the spine of blade that I can see. It does have different makers marks to your example. Others may have further thoughts on it. Cheers -

Looking at this knife today........... Just curious if the knife is orig?? Looks unused. Not too sure.. I believe it has a1955 and later scabbard. Could it be reproduction also? Thank you! -
