The MP's that did the "agricultural" inspection of our Hueys at the end of D. Storm, and prior to when we put them on the boat to return to the US, were a Puerto Rican NG unit. It would be cool to see one of those brassards. 

So, I think the stippled brass US in the photo from Lord's book in the upper left-hand corner of the right-side stirrup is from the m/1864 plated artillery bit.  I also think that it is photographed inside an artillery not a cavalry stirrup.  Any ideas?   illinigander  

That was the thoughts of some of the guys  at the flea market.  It had 12.00 dollars wrote on the top with magic marker. I got rid of some of it.

Mobile Riverine Force,  Task Force - 117, was a Join Army and Navy Task force. However Riverine Strike Group,  Task group 194.7 was Navy.

Similar to his experience, I remember when my uncle took a similar placement test in the marines he scored so high he had the ability to pick any job he really wanted and wanted. I am very strong in the subjects mentioned and really in school in general, it’s not the problem. Just trying to gauge the pros and cons between a military tenure and  going into the same field in the civilian form (aviation) thanks for the advice.

Not in Michigan, we finally had a day that reached 70F today. It’s been a cold spring for sure but known to snow here in May. Supposed to reach 80 by the end of the week.

It reminds me of USMC but I don’t know why

Interesting, has the white on the flash yellowed or is it supposed to look that shade? I just assumed it was 5th SFG because I had read that the group was a joint army and navy task force.
