I see. Thanks for the information. Would the size of the ring tell you anything about the rifle it fit? -

No worries. I have a few of these, none with a Blackinton back mark. Blackinton produced the same wing for Pasquale, they are marked “Pasquale S.F.” Blackinton didn’t put their back mark on anything till after about 1930. Nice find! John -

Good honest F-14 VF-32 flight jacket. This jacket was probably from the USS Independence 1983-84 Grenada Invasion cruise. Jacket is not named. -

I believe it is WW2. However, because of the rehandling, it's probably not identifiable when it was made during WW2. -

@Celia Nice buckle! Thank you for sharing pictures of it. Unfortunately I can't help you with what "Pusch" means. Usually someone has their name engraved in the spot where "Pusch" is at. Maybe it was a nickname your father's shipmates gave him? The 45 47 suggests that this was an end-of-tour buckle made in 1947. What years was your father in the Navy? Do you know what ships your father was on? Clearly the USS PRESIDENT JACKSON (APA-18) is not the ship engraved. I know of one other buckle (two years earlier) from 1945 with the same ship engraved. There's a possibility that the ship is just a generic rendition of an idealized navy ship rather than an actual rendition of the ship he served on. -

Too bad it was split apart and the flag and chit sold separately. Why bother with that if you're not gonna split the whole thing up? Any closer pics of the WWI wing?
