These were notorious for breaking down once the leather stayed wet after repeated field use. Especially where the belt wire was located as well as the retaining snap and where the leather strap and scabbard met. Basically, wherever the leather was subjected to repeated bending and stresses! -

Here’s his TS headband made from the brim of a cutdown boonie. He wore this frequently! Attached are some photos of him wearing the headband. The peace sign photo is from 1-0 graduation and the other is from a mission in Cambodia. Neither photo is mine, one shared by SOA and the other by a veteran. -

Hey Martin, Thank you for the kind words! The jackets are all named to the vet but the tigerstripe pants have “Crimm” written as well as the vet’s name. I’ve wondered if these were first worn by Mike C r i m m i n g s who was a Canadian volunteer in CCS. Feel free to post your SCU top! I always love seeing them, though, there aren’t a ton out there to be seen on the forum. Half of what is in the threads seems to be from a dealer who, “turned to the dark side” to say it as another forum member has. -

I just bought this M-6 scabbard with M-3 knife . It was from the estate of a well known firearms and edged weapons collector. I have seen many M-6 scabbards but have never seen one with metal reinforcement at bottom and at top. Can anyone help identify? Is this a prototype? Thanks -
