Here's another JAPAN tabbed Cadre patch. It's not early Occupation of Japan made but maybe made in Germany when the 24th Division was assigned there? I gather it was a rendition of the earlier Japanese Occupation made types by a collector stationed in Germany during the 60s or 70s. -

Here's another Japenese made Cadre hybrid but with Victory Tab. No telling which unit particular patch was associated with but I'd say it was made in Japan immediate Post WWII-Pre-Korea War. -

Hello, can someone identify these patches and tell me more about it. I suspect 1960 or 1970s thanks Markus -

Aloha, If you're describing the coat as you stated and that the RAR patch is constructed exactly just like Dan's photo illustration in post #24. Meaning all materials used, construction and appliqué method, exactly as illustrated in post #24, I'd say anywhere between $225-$275. Mahalo, John -

Gotta love that 46th ID card. Cool that they got the SEAL Team One(?) and Freddy the frog UDT logo on the backside of the Foul Eagle card. Best Martin -

Cpl.Punishment, Congrats to your grouping. Definitely a high end group, top notch. For some reason you’ll find more stuff from CCN and CCC than you do with CCS stuff. Gotta love SCU badged Jungle Jackets, especially from the South guys. I also got a SCU badged JJ to a RT Auger guy and that guy was also a sniper. He is pictured in Jason’s book on RT Auger. Did you see the Iron Guard SOG knife to the same gentleman as your group? It’s what we call a “user”. Best Martin -

Hard to believe I started this thread way back in 2008. It brought forth lively conversations about the Hawaiian Division Shoulder Insignia and others that shared its central Taro leaf design. AU 9824-G3 aka: HAWAIIAN CADRE, a very short lived organization, interestingly had variations made of its unauthorized but worn Shoulder Insignia. It was either worn by the original 310 members of the Cadre (March-July 1943) or by troops of the 24th Infantry Division (post WWII). How this came about is open for debate but here I wanted to share a unique 21st Infantry Regiment Ike jacket that I recently acquired. There is no questions where the influence came from for the Shoulder Insignia but it does get interesting that it incorporates JAPAN instead of HAWAIIAN! Because it sports the small combat unit chevrons on the sleeves it narrows the timeline considerably. These unpopular small chevrons were issued between the years of 1948-1951, and that gives us three years to ponder. Now after the Japanese surrender in September of 1945, the 21st Infantry Regiment was assigned to Camp Wood, Kyushu, Japan, where it remained until the Korean War broke out. The window narrows even more since the 21st Infantry Regiment was in Korea from July 1950, to January of 1952. The other key to this puzzle is that small combat unit chevrons. The Army discontinued its use in 1952, and that returns us back to pre Korean War era. I'm about 100% certain that this JAPAN/CADRE hybrid patch was made in a Kumamoto Tailorshop at the outskirts Camp Wood, sometime in 1949. We can only speculate as to why and how this Cadre shield design with JAPAN tab patch came into play during the early years of the 21st Infantry Regiments Occupation duty in Kyushu, Japan. -

I haven't seen an M1921 pouch posted on this thread yet. Made at Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot in Indiana. I looked for many years to find one and finally snagged this one at the Tulsa show last November. -

I have one of these as well. My opinion it is an unidentified maker thus far. Nice wing! John
