Hi Mark, Joseph Feeley was my husband's great uncle. I haven't been able to find much more information than what has already been provided. He is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery in Neupre, Belgium, and my family and I will be going there next week to visit his grave. As far as we are aware we will be the first from our family to get there. We are looking forward to being able to honor him for his sacrifice. -

Thank you all very much for the kind words, I was excited after I saw the cricket mixed in with patches in the initial photo of the stuff, then was given a larte tub and trash bag full of generational family papers that slowly unveiled this wild grouping. I was even a little disappointed he didn't end up being a local, but then what I found in research didn't make it seem so bad haha -

I am not an expert on this sort of thing but I was wondering if this could be a Civil War Parrott shell? Weighs 11.4 pounds on my scale, measures 8.5 inches in length. Thanks for checking it out & very much appreciated! Rob
