Hi guys! I got my hands on a curious example of a US Army gas mask bag. But I couldn't find any information or official designation of this bag model. In its configuration, it is very similar to the classic MIVA1 model (I made a comparison in the last photos). I have a questions. Is this just another variation of MIVA1 or an earlier version? Or is it a separate bag model with its own designation? I would be grateful for any information!

Don't you think that the fictional 219th is an allusion to the Regiments of the Hawaiian Div/24th, based upon the combination of the 21st & 19th? Huh.... It's a good theory

Les Hughes' site also has two photos of fake badges, that are quite obviously very different from the supposed originals shown above: http://www.insigne.org/Fakes-I-Abn.htm

I had to break it down and move it. When I pieced it back together I think I messed up. I did it spring over and that looks a little high.

Interesting! It has a hitch for a ball. That struck me as odd. It's not a pintle type. I have no idea when the ball type hitch came to be. This is a primitive hitch, I wouldn't trust it over 25MPH.

Hello all, I just picked up this relic buckle a couple weeks ago.  I'm not generally into ACW items, but I thought it would be nice to have a few of the iconic representative items. I am a bit curious, as I don't know a huge amount about battlefield relics. Do most such buckles likely come from fallen soldiers, or were there men losing their belts on the battlefield? Does the bend and cracks on this buckle suggest that it was struck or damaged during the war? Any feedback or interesting info is welcome.

I have the dialer for this unit, shown in your video here. I actually have two of these dialers, and for both dialers, I need to press half-way. I cannot press all the way, people can't hear me if I do that. Is pressing half-way normal? Or, do I have incorrect wiring? Here is my set-up... From my RJ11 surface mount, I have Green going to the LA of the dialer's module, and RED going to the LB of the dialer's module. And then the module with it's two spade forks is fed under the OB unit's LA and LB terminals. Is that correct? I was hoping to see in the video your wiring inside, but you never showed the inside. Please advise, thank you.

Here's one that I have in my collection; a 55 gallon drum that's dated 1942.

Picked these up off an auction.  Anyone know of the meaning of this patch if any? Any thoughts on where the USMC patch was made? Thanks Ken
