Best I can tell, it’s some sort of Vietnamese made bowie. Bad shape, but there’s a photo of him wearing this on his pack in Cambodia.  note: this is not my photo but was sent to me by the SOA. This is the vet in August ‘69. Note the silenced M14 with starlight scope. He was one of about a dozen SOG men to go to sniper school in-country.

The Micarta Division of Westinghouse was not a collaboration with Capac. Capac obtained Westinghouse molds at some point after WW2 which they used to make liners starting in 1951. They stopped adding grommets to the shells during 1955. The Micarta Division of Westinghouse, the Capac Manufacturing Company, the Capac Manufacturing Corporation, and I believe Mine Safety Appliances (unless another manufacturer used MSA molds but didn't mark them) made liners during the 1950s. If I'm not mistaken Westinghouse stopped making helmet liners around 1969.
