This looks like silver. I buy and sell silver basically on a daily basis and this looks like a lot of the stuff i buy. I think you are just having a hard time saying it's silver because it's not stamped 925 or sterling. What most people don't realize is a lot of stuff wasn't marked back in the teens and twenties and if it was it was from a well known jeweler. If you are truly curious i would take it to a jewelry store and have them test it. -

Most likely but yours appears to be stamped one piece - I think it may be very tarnished silver Bill -

Best I can tell, it’s some sort of Vietnamese made bowie. Bad shape, but there’s a photo of him wearing this on his pack in Cambodia. note: this is not my photo but was sent to me by the SOA. This is the vet in August ‘69. Note the silenced M14 with starlight scope. He was one of about a dozen SOG men to go to sniper school in-country. -

Superexcellent display of fatigues.By any chance is the knife in the foreground a CISO Ben Baker supplied SOG knife? -

Thanks! I can hardly imagine what the celebrations were like when word came that the war was over. -

I bet it is a mistake. There are other mistakes too, like the misspelling of "friends" bottom front. -
