Great card! Do you suppose "Ala Moana Load" was meant to be Ala Moana Road? -

It's not even that but that's a real big issue right now. It's the people who either to a shinola job and or they brag about it. There's a lot of people on Instagram that are restoring uniforms brag about it and then try and sell it. If you what to restore a uniform by all means go for it. But please do it properly and respectfully. And if you ever sell said uniform please tell people it's been restored. -

What were the duties of an Army Flight Surgeon during Vietnam? Vaguely all I can understand is they had to be a doctor working in aerospace medicine whatever that evolves. Nice Gemsco G-22, sterling, Senior Flight Surgeon wings, Vietnam period. -

The small plastic picture frame is about 3 inches tall. As it turned out, there WAS a small box with his medals and insignia...note the OD bordered 44th ID patch. Both medals are slot broach. Also note the ribbon bars, with the Chine ribbon in place of the Army of Occupation Medal, and who knows why there's an Inter-Allied Victory Ribbon from World War I. Well, I think that's about it for now...and so it goes. Mark sends -

I assume he went to Camp Beale, California in anticipation of being sent to the Pacific for the invasion of Japan, since there's a Japanese language guide in the scrapbook... Mark sends -

Now THIS was the heartbreaker....his war trophy paper for a Luger w/ holster, P38 w/ holster, .32 pistol w/ holster, a camera, a "hunting knife" with sheath, and a "Jerry" cleaning kit. Additionally, he had to complete an inventory of his duffle bag when he was coming home, which also included those items. -

There was one small envelope in the scrapbook that I initially overlooked, but it held some nice surprises....a couple American and 1 German surrender leaflet. The Passerschein has mud on both sides so I assume he picked that up in the field. The German one has seen better days though. There's a couple of the No Frat with the Germans cards....
