Parker as a Maj Gen commanding the 5th Division on Iceland 1941-43. Parker wore the coat when in the 8th Field Artillery Hawaiian Division, he also as you'll see was the Liaison Officer for the 1939 World's Fair in Queens New York. https://militaryhallofhonor.com/honoree-record.php?id=2932 -

Much of what is stated strikes me as at worst revisionist or at best picking cherry's out of a pickle barrel. Picking cherry's would be the rotation of British troops from the frontline trenches towards the second and third lines and then back up to the first line. If all of that is true, then great if you were British, but what if you're serving the British from a colony from the empire? Did this hold true for them? WW1 is not in my immediate wheelhouse so I would like to read the opinions of others on if the video is factual or revision. https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/peopleandplaces/10-big-myths-of-world-war-one/vi-AA1CiUmG?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=b595a8514ef24c0aa8c6b80448c9b957&ei=26 -

@aerialbridgeThanks for the link. My post deals mostly with the origin of the design and so mostly the actual 1852 issue sword, though there’s a little bit in there about later swords. -

Some folks have spent some time recently filing their income taxes, I’ve been filing my Garand barrel. Today’s effort was on the section that holds the barrel band between the handguards. The barrel was so pitted i could not get the band closer than about an inch to the band pin notch. So it was some more fun with the dremel, files and sandpaper. In the end this little bit is now done. Victory is sweet! -
