Retreads Jefferson, IN, 1981-1982.     Can you imagine?  These veterans would be most likely in the 80s at this point.  Couldn't be too many reunions after this one.

I ended up with a large collection from a friend who was moving into assisted living, These are most of the new Coast Guard hats I ended up with.

If your husband was a veteran, you can contact your local veterans service organizations like the VFW, American Legion etc. who have funds available for things like this...you can also contact your County Veterans Service Commission.     Mark sends

World Bayonets, has more on the Colt M7 bayonet under; Colt "New Model" M7. It states similar to what we already know, (no slotted tang) but does say that there may be a few found with 90 degree blade run out. Cheers.

The boxes are unopened, the pic of the open box was from the dealer display.   He had 5 more boxes I wish I would have grabbed them. on the cleaning concern, I think cleaning after shooting is really a big part of the fun of gun ownership.

This was the beginning of my collection, I meta docent there that invited to his house (kinda creepy at the time) and I went the next day on my way out of town and he gifted me a ton of reference books which I used to gain knowledge and then he sent me some field gear and challenged me to figure it out. And the rest is history. The demonstrations are super cool, went there one day when they did it.
