      Which ones do you have? As far as I can tell, a total of 41 volumes between 1938 to 1940. Surprisingly, some larger states like New York and Pennsylvania opted out, while some small states still had them published (albeit being VERY thin...). Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey and Massachusetts seem to be very common. As of posting, I have 28/41 in hand (Noted by ●). The ones I know exist are: ○Alabama – 1938  ●Arizona – 1938 ○Arkansas – 1938 ○Colorado – 1938 ●Connecticut – 1939  ○Delaware – 1940 ○District of Columbia – 1940  ●Florida – 1939 ●Georgia – 1939  ○Idaho – 1938 ●Illinois – 1940  ●Indiana -- 1938 ●Iowa -- 1938 ●Kentucky – 1938  ○Louisiana – 1938 ●Maine  – 1939 ○Maryland -1940 ●Massachusetts – 1939  ●Michigan – 1940 ○Mississippi – 1938 ●Missouri -- 1939 ○Montana -- 1940 ●Nebraska – 1939 ●New Hampshire – 1939 ●New Jersey – 1940  ●New Mexico -- 1939 ●North Carolina – 1938 ●North Dakota -- 1940 ●Ohio – 1938  ●Oklahoma -- 1938  ●Oregon – 1938 ●Rhode Island – 1940  ●South Carolina – 1938 ●South Dakota -- 1938 ○Tennessee – 1939 ●Texas – 1940  ○Vermont -- 1939 ○Virginia – 1940 ●Washington -- 1939 ●West Virginia – 1938 ●Wisconsin -- 1939    Some of the interesting features are the cavalry divisions and formations that would be dissolved after 1940, and some of the 1939 Texas units having M1 Garands.

I suspect this is speculative regarding when and for what. Were individual tags crafted into ID bracelets for servicemen while in the service or more likely for post service or sweetheart use? Here is an example. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Ok, I'm confused or maybe just uninformed. So they cut a bunch of 16" bayonets and scabbards during WW2 to 10" configuration, then they made scabbards for the 16" bayonets that weren't cut down in the 1950s?? Do I have that right?

If you bought another Heart from Robbie then you should post it here for an honest opinion. If a questionable German item is posted on the WAF then it is "discussed" quickly. This Heart has been on for a while and I don't think it is questioned.

Idaho did have a volume, although it was compiled in 1938. (This series spanned 1938, '39 & '40)

Looking for opinions on this rigger pouch, repop?

It does thanks, but that concerns me because I did buy a USMC named Purple Heart from the same seller at a very good price. I know it was a correct navy USMC Purple Heart and the engraving looked right to me compared to this one but I am not an expert on engraving. Thankfully it was purchased on WAF so I have a return policy. Or I could do what others do and post it to a Facebook group and make a massive profit if it’s bad.   thats a joke I wouldn’t do that.

Right. It just seemed unnecessary to have the word on the medal.

Not military, but I have nothing else lately to report that may interest you. Hopefully this will.  Gunji Boy and I spotted this while out walkies the other day. Beautiful car!  I’m no expert on old cars, but Gunji thinks this is a 1939 Cadillac. Feel free to correct him if he is wrong. Right or wrong, he is a good boy.  Mikie
