Thanks Scott That gives me incentive to post more 😉 But The really cool stuff is getting harder and harder to find :) Thanks for the Help John I appreciate any pointers I can get 👍 I will have to figure something out for the double sided display, Probably have to make a DIY thick frame that will fit 2 or 3 sheets of MAT BOARD with individual cut-outs for each patch. That should keep the glass pressure off the patches and Built Loose enough to allow some air flow. -

Did they use these in Korea or Vietnam? If so maybe it's from one of those conflicts. -

For framing, I'd say make sure there's space between the object and the glass. Those entomology cases should be okay if the stuffing is neutrally acidic and doesn't push the stuff against the glass. Also, you can put in some silica gel packs to moderate the moisture inside. Have some uv filtration on the glass and keep it out of direct sunlight. -

At 7:57 you can briefly see the sign warning troops to NOT pick up souvenirs. At 8:06 there is a shot of the Malinta Tunnel, and at 8:23 is Battery Way. The Bataan Peninsula is across the channel in some views. -

I'm going to be visiting Thailand in June. Are there any places in Bangkok or Hua Hin to find interesting militaria? -

Normally, when people think of a Y.M.C.A. POW diary they think of the hardbound “Wartime Log” diaries. This little diary was also a gift of the Y.M.C.A. to prisoners of war. I have only seen these little red books issued to POW’s in Oflag 64 in Schubin Poland. This particular diary was given to Major Emmanuel Robertson. He served with the 168th infantry 34th division and was captured in February 1943 in North Africa . He had previously earned a Silver Star Medal for Algeria in 1942. In researching this diary, I found a bunch of documents in the national archives, which will appear at the end of this thread. One of the interesting entries is an actual autograph of boxing champ Max Schmeling. He actually went on a tour visiting camps near the end of the war. He signed the book after Robertson had been moved from Schubin to Luckenwalde.
