This is my similar. Again it came out of the bush with other legit Navy medals. It wasn't in collectors hands where someone messed with it. I don't see a maker on the ring but my eyes are not great. Years ago the consensus was that the medal itself was not the Navy variety. Odd. -

Awesome. There is another scene in the movie where the beach master got a Bren gun carrier started by whacking it with a swagger stick. You should have had him try that on the Jeep. -

Great patch! So if the ID on the back is accurate (303rd FS of the 337th FG), this was a training unit stationed mostly at Sarasota, FL, obviously with the 3rd AF, 1942-44. Maurer has its brief history on pg. 367 of "Combat Squadrons...." So the other variations are of the same cartoon character, but Navy units. -
